Our Little Rangers

Giddy is the best way to describe today!! Ryan is doing very well! His feeds have been increased to 6.5ml’s every 3 hours. He received two blood transfusions this morning. He hasn’t had a transfusion in several days! The doctor was able to decrease his Bumex by 0.02 today. His urine output had dropped slightly the last two days but his diapers have been SOAKED today! I was lucky enough to ‘catch’ him making a stinky diaper. I know this sounds crazy but we (nurses) get very excited when the bowls are working the way they should!!

He was born with little blonde patches of hair on his head and now you can really see it growing!!

His eyelashes are to die for! They are going to be like his daddy’s. Dean has some of the longest eyelashes. I could only imagine what they would look like with a touch of mascara!!

Now that Ryan is on more of a schedule we will be able to schedule ourselves and be able to participate in his feedings by taking his temperature and changing his diaper. It may not sound like much but I’ve never had more fun taking a temp and changing a stinky diaper!

Now for the reason we are sooo Giddy!!! Our little man is doing awesome and I’ll be able to do his very first ‘monthly’ update tomorrow. I do have to admit it is taking some creativity but I believe we should be able to do his one month update justice!
