This is how we Roll

Ryan has learned a new ‘trick’ over the past few weeks.

We weren’t sure if it was a fluke or not when he rolled himself from his tummy to his back.

Only catch is he must be propped up on his
tummy pillow or his boppy.

He on the other hand thinks he is ‘Hot Stuff’
whenever makes his way to his back!!

He has even started showing his new trick off
when he is being held.

He knows he is a little ham. . . .I’m afraid I’m in BIG Trouble!!

Ryan is also very much in LOVE with his Gammy Time.

She surprised him while he was sleeping in his boppy. She would talk to him and he couldn’t quite figure out if he heard her for real or if it was just on Mommy’s phone.

His little smile when he saw her completely melted our hearts!!

Thank you sissy!!

Auntie Lesha LOVES her little nephew!!

We Love how much cares for him and helps with him!

He loves napping with his Sissy!

We love having her around also!!

Church Sunday!

We were very proud to take our handsome little man to Gammy’s church this morning.

Ryan sat with his Auntie Lesha during church.

He may not be able to speech but he said a ton with his eyes!!

Just as on New Year’s he loved the Music!

Bro. Donnie came and visited both Ryan and I during our hospital stays.
We are very thankful for his support and prayers!!

We greatly enjoyed visiting with the members of Kentucky! We thank each and every one of you for all of our continued prayers!!

Lazy Mornings

We have had a very lazy Sunday!

Ryan continues to enjoy ‘boppy’ time with mommy and daddy in the mornings!

And again in the evenings!!

We are sooo blessed!!

Adorable!!

What a difference a year makes!

Last year at this time we visited the Redneck Event of the Year with very heavy heart.

We’ve dreamed of taking our family (child included).

I have to admit that I had a great deal of fun dressing Ryan in all his camo to surprise his daddy!!

I went back and forth in my mind to go  or not to go with our family out. Ultimately once I realized  that there were three other events going on that night and that the BBC would be the least crowded I decided that we should go and enjoy a night out with the family.

In hindsight I am soo glad that me and Ryan joined our family! 

We spoke a lot about my dad. I’m looking forward to taking Ryan into the outdoors
and teaching him all of the things that my daddy had taught me.

Ryan was introduced to many new animals. Of course he slept through most but just in case he ever wants to see his first animal encounters Momma documented.

Ryan met his first ‘daddy’ lion (as the little girl on the news called him.

I love to think that the entire time Ryan was dreaming of this fella!!

Day of Greats!!

Ryan received GREAT news from the eye doctor today!! His retinas are more than 90% grown. They are right on track were a normal 6 week old infant should be!!!

Ryan is enjoying our lunches with his Great Grandparents!!

I LOVE seeing how happy he makes my grandma!!

She LOVES her little great grandson!! Or as she calls him ‘our baby.’

Grandma is too cute. She will say that she is scared to death to hold one
that little then sit back for a few minutes and get sooo excited about
the thought of holding him!She is like a child on Christmas morning.

Her smiles are my most favorite when she holding Ryan!!

Papaw even got in on the cuteness!!

I joked with Ryan at the beginning of our lunch that if he was good
Momma would let him have a bite of Papaws frosty! (My papaw finishes every
meal at Wendy’s with a frosty for each person in the family.) Mom and I
usually share a small frosty and today she shared that frosty with the three of us!!

Ryan is a boy after his Momma’s heart. He loved his frosty!

He looked disappointed that mom didn’t give him another bit and
then at another point he took a tiny bite off of the spoon.

I am so thankful for my grandparents!!

I’m also very thankful that God allowed Ryan to be born at a time where he
could meet and bless the lives of his Great Grandparents!!

5 Month Stats!!

Ryan officially was five months old yesterday but we are continuing
to celebrate today with his five month post!!

Ryan has grown exponentially!! He is now 6lbs 8.9 ounces and is 18 ¾ inches long!!

He now ‘fits’ into newborn diapers!! It is crazy to think back and remember how huge the premie diapers looked and see the size 1 diapers fit the same way!!

Sadly he has outgrown his premie outfits this month :(
He now fits into most of the smaller newborn outfits.

He started a new formula this month and it is much easier on his tummy.
He is taking 55mls every three hours.

He loves to ‘talk.’ He also has started ‘talking’ to us when he is unhappy!

He loves his daddy and his boppy pillow! I’m enjoying watching these two grow closer!

We cannot say enough about how proud we are of our little man!!

I’m looking forward to watching him grow but at the same time I wish
he would just SLOOOOOW Down a little bit!!
