Ryan had a good night. They took blood to check on some of his immune system levels and his IVIG level was low. Today he received an IVIG infusion to help boost his system. He was doing well before his infusion but IVIG is known to make you feel extremely crummy. His oxygen saturation dropped while the infusion was running so the doctor had them increase his oxygen to 60%. His infusion took a bit longer than expected because both of his IV lines infiltrated. He know has a new IV in his scalp that seems to be holding well.
He has rested well throughout his IVIG infusion and afterward. He still has
his morphine infusion. He will open his eyes and look around at times but the nurses
found that if the lights in his pod stay low that he will rest and not keep himself awake looking around. Before we left this afternoon they had started turning his oxygen down successfully.

We are not exactly sure what’s on the schedule for Ryan tomorrow.
Hopefully he will be able to wean from the vent soon.
