Baby Shower!!

Ryan had a so-so night. His lungs are doing well. He is just stooling . . . and stooling . . . and stooling. . and stooling. . .

His poor bottom is becoming increasingly reddened and broke out. Our nurse consulted the surgery nurses and he now has a nice paste cocktail for his bottom!!

We have successfully gone through every onsie that we’d brought to the hospital. Ryan wore his “First Camo Shirt” today. He continues to do very well on his feedings.

When Dean finished nursing school we never dreamed that we would be as blessed with his employer as we have been! The directors, doctors, and staff at Ortho have been God sent!!

They had hoped to that Ryan would have been able to join us at our shower but with his health issues this week we decided to continue with the shower even though he wasn’t able to attend.

I never dreamed that we would receive the gifts that we opened.

The building as a whole got together in groups and purchased big items that were on our registry.

I cannot tell you how much these gifts have taken a large burden off of our minds!

These are things that we have done without because we haven’t had the time/resources to gather!!

We thank each and every one who participated in our shower in any way shape or form!!! Y’all have been with our family through the roughest days of our lives and are always there for us!! We Love and appreciate you all!!

Ryan received the ok from the anesthesia team for surgery on Monday.

He will remain in the NICU through the weekend so that his heath can be as best as it can for his surgery on Monday.

His weight was up tonight. He now weighs 6lbs 1oz!!!

Gammy is staying with Ryan tonight so that I can take my sinus/allergy meds and get a good night’s rest before we prepare for his surgery over the weekend.

Poor Horsey and Loose Nut (AKA Hershee and Bolt) 
They sent us a message saying that they miss their Gammaw!!
We promise Gammaw will return home soon!
