Almost Normal

Ryan has had a very productive day! His oxygen was weaned from the standard 2liters flow at 100% to 1liter of flow at 100%. His sats are doing well. No drops as of yet. His rate however is fast at times but as his time off of the vent grows this should come back to his normal. His gasses are also staying in his normal range!

His feeds were increased to 48mls. He still has a raspy cry.
They decided not to start his by mouth (bottle) feedings today.
While at Baptist Ryan was often called “our bald baby.”

 It seems like over the
past few days his hair has gotten much darker and actually fuller!!
Ryan was moved from a care center back into an open ‘crib’ this morning. He is enjoying his balloons that Gammy brought him!! The nurses figured out quickly that he responds/sooths very well to music. He scored himself his very own CD player to listen to while he rests.
Ryan hasn’t been able to use his tummy time pillow and I’m afraid it’s been commandeered by the Koda Bear!! She misses her Baby Brother!! She has suprised us with Ryan. Instead of running and hiding at the first noise of a baby she sits next to us and watches his every move as if she is protecting him!

Please pray for me and our family that God will continue to guide our lives and our future decisions.
