Ryan has had a much better day today. He is still having heart rate and pulse ox drops at times but the nurses are telling us this is still normal. She even said that it has been surprising that he hasn’t had more before now. He didn’t have any real orders today. They’ve adjusted his feeds from where they decreased them yesterday do to him receiving blood.
We had a very nice afternoon with Ryan. Mommy, Daddy, and Gammie all spent time tighter in Ryan’s room. We listened to Casting Crowns and admired our little man.
We were surprised by a visit from one of our favorite nurses. Mrs. S came to see us today. She said this was actually her 2nd visit with our boy today. They blew kisses at one another this morning. It was so precious. When he heard her voice he immediately started searching for her. He loves his favorite nurses! I love that they still check on him.
Ryan tolerated being out of bed for nearly three hours today. Right at the very last he started sleeping a little too good and dropped his heart rate and oxygen level. Mommy had to tickle his foot a couple of times while his nurse used the ambu bag to help bring his oxygen level up. His nurse was such a good leader today. She stayed calm and in charge. We worked together to keep his heart rate up as she worked on his oxygen level. We got Ryan back to bed and settled in without having to increase his oxygen to much. Oddly this didn’t scare me today. I think it made a huge difference that his nurse didn’t panic and that we worked together to make sure our little one was ok.
Ryan still has a long way to grow before he fills out his premie onsie but I LOVE that they allow us to dress him for the game!
We had our first family game day photo!
Go Hogs Go!!!
